Check Out the New Backupify Google Apps Dashboard!

by Kristin Dziadul on July 7, 2011

Today, we released a Dashboard view for Google Apps administrators using Backupify. After speaking to many admins of both large and small domains, we recognized a significant demand for a notification dashboard to maintain an accurate record of exactly what is being backed up for any given domain.

The new Backupify Google Apps Dashboard dramatically improves the experience for Google Apps administrators. Upon login, the Dashboard provides direct links to domain users’ archives as well as much quicker access to each users’ backup history.

Most notably, domain administrators can now see the overall status of their backups via check marks and warning signs.

Here is what to expect:

  • A list of each user account being backed up
  • Logos of each service being backed up under every account
  • A time stamp of the last backup
  • A status bar with check marks or warning signs

Why is this useful?

Aside from being a direct response to customer requests, a dashboard like this just makes sense. As an account administrator (and quite possibly the owner of your company or agency as well), we know you don’t have a lot of time to spend sifting through your backups. With this dashboard, you can log into Backupify and quickly confirm which accounts are backed up, what services are backed up, and if there are any issues or re-authentication actions you need to take. This is a big improvement from our previous design that did not give you a centralized view of your domain accounts.

See the below screenshot of what the dashboard looks like. (Note: Only domain administrators will have access to this feature)
